Interview with the Founders about the New IDEX Filament 3D Printer S300X – FIL11 | FIL11
Discover the new IDEX 3D filament printer, the S300X – FIL11| FIL11
Interview
Thomas: My name is Thomas Batigne, and I am the co-founder of Lynxter.
Julien: My name is Julien, and I am also one of the co-founders of Lynxter.
The first time you talked about the S300X – FIL11 | FIL11 3D filament printer?
Julien: Back in 2017, we wanted to create a smaller, more compact machine for filament printing. We had this idea, but it eventually fell through because we shifted our focus to modularity and silicone. We started with the S600D, then returned with a more compact machine, the S300X – LIQ21 | LIQ11. Afterward, we thought, why not take the S300X LIQ chassis further by giving it more capabilities, including filament printing.
How would you describe this new machine?
Thomas: It’s a translation from English. People say “workhorse,” which means “beast of burden,” and I think that expression works well for this machine because it’s compact and highly productive.
What are the advantages of the S300X – FIL11 | FIL11?
Thomas: Productivity, modern design, and the industrial-grade aspect of the machine.
What is the key innovation of this filament 3D printer?
Julien: The high-speed aspect, meaning high speed with significant acceleration.
Thomas: Yes, and doing this twice in the same machine. Mechanically, we have a machine that’s twice as productive.
Any highlights or special moments with this machine?
Thomas: There was a special moment with this 3D printer when we introduced the latest motorization and pushed all the potentiometers to the maximum. And when this thing starts up, it’s something—it leaves an impression.
