SUP-002
Support for polyurethane
WHEN TO USE SUPPORT IN 3D POLYURETHANE PRINTING?
Supports are used in 3D printing when the 3D model to be printed has critical angles, overhangs, or complex geometries that may collapse during the deposition of polyurethane, which is still in a viscous liquid state (thin walls, tall rods…).
Supports are temporary structures that provide a stable base for critical parts of the object until cross-linking occurs. Once the bonding process is complete, the supports can be removed, leaving a final polyurethane piece with clean and precise details.
REMOVABLE SUPPORTBY HAND
SUP-002 is a support material developed exclusively by Lynxter. It offers numerous advantages:
– Ease of use: SUP-002 can be removed simply by hand.
– Safety: All ingredients in the SUP-002 formulation are safe for the user, non-toxic upon skin contact. The support, once removed, can be either reconditioned or disposed of in a traditional household waste bin.
– Surface finish: The SUP-002 support can be removed without damaging the polyurethane piece. It does not inhibit the polyurethane polymerization reaction and does not discolor it.
COMPATIBLE WITH POLYURETHANES
Polyurethane is deposited in a liquid state and remains liquid until the polymerization reaction is complete.
Printing support structures with SUP-002 thus allows supporting the polyurethane until solidification. SUP-002 is compatible with polyurethanes, such as PU-001 provided by Lynxter.
The S300X software allows you to automatically create the structure of the supports, giving you the ability to customize them to optimize your production and focus on specific details.
